First blog!
On the second day of class with Dr. Kyburz we watched a video called "This is Water" by David Foster Wallace. I've seen the video before through Facebook and remember really liking it however over time I just forgot about it. After re-watching it one line from the whole video stuck out me. Mr.Wallace said " YOU get to consciously decide what has meaning what doesn't ". When he said that it hit me. Since I have the chance to pick what matters I shouldn't just think about my self and try to consider other people during everyday life. Now, it's always said easier than done but it's a good reminder and I will definitely try to consider others especially when I'm not having a good day.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. That talk is amazing. That line about "deciding" is pretty important. I think it could also be problematic if used out of context to apply to *every* situation. Can you think of an example?
